EVENT: NYC PILLOW FIGHT 2012. Put on your PJs, grab a pillow (feather-free, if possible!), and start fighting. Swarms of pillow-fighters gather annually for the festival, donned in PJs or Easter costumes for this rambunctious celebration. Over 150 cities participate in National Pillow Fight Day, and this fluffy fest is the NYC edition.

MUSEUM: TARGET SATURDAY AT THE BROOKLYN MUSEUM. Every first Saturday of the month, the Brooklyn Museum forgoes admission and allows free entry. Visitors have access to current exhibitions, special performances, art projects and screenings. Check out the Keith Haring exhibit!

EXHIBIT: THE OBAMA PRESIDENCY: A LOOK BEHIND THE SCENES. White House official photographer Pete Souza creates a timeline of Obama’s presidency through photographs of the Commander in Chief’s daily duties. From 2009-2011, Souza documented the president at historic events, dealing with crises and private interactions with family and friends. Souza narrates captions for each photograph, giving his behind-the-scenes perspective. Runs through June 2.

STAR GAZING: TUESDAY STARGAZING ON THE HIGHLINE. Beginning in April and going through May, the Highline turns into astronomy class every Tuesday at dusk. Learn about and gaze at the stars, planets and moon using high-powered telescopes and other equipment provided by the Amateur Astronomers Association of New York.
