Die-in at Grand Central Brings Attention to LGBT Suicides
On Oct. 8 at 6 p.m., hundreds of activists gathered at Grand Central Station for a die-in and to speak out against homophobia and raise awareness of the recent suicide epidemic of LGBT youth. While hundreds hit the ground, the names of those lost to hate crimes and homophobia were read over a bull horn and a banner was dropped. This is one of many actions taking place across the city that is directly addressing these issues.
