NYPD remove signs honoring victims of police; arrest Reverend Billy (Video)

Zishun Ning Jan 8, 2015

The signs had been laid on the ground of Grand Central station to honor those killed by police. Twenty hours into a planned 24-hour protest, where demonstrators on Monday read the names of the victims and told their stories, police moved in to pick up the signs and arrested Reverend Billy Talen after he objected to the police intervention. Check out the videos below to watch Talen’s arrest and other highlights from the #CarryTheNames vigil, which continued despite the efforts of police.
