A new documentary unpacks the trendy new names gentrifying realtors have given a longstanding Caribbean bastion in Brooklyn.

Realtors have taken to rebranding Flatbush, Brooklyn, giving the neighborhood — long home to vibrant West Indian, Black and Latino communities — a series of new names. Prospect Lefferts Gardens, South Slope, Ditmas Park — this mini-documentary, produced by Equality for Flatbush with New York University film students Blair McClendon and Harry Cepka, unpacks the new monikers given to this old Brooklyn neighborhood and explores the root causes of the rapid gentrification taking place there.
